Lia is an international professional Orientaldancer,Teacher and Choreographer living in Thessaloniki,Greece.
She was born in Greece and in 1987 she moved with her family to Germany,where she started showing her interest in Bellydance at an early age.Soon,she studied classical Bellydance with internationally renowned teacher in this discipline such as:Randa Kamel,Jillina,Raqia Hassan,Prof. Hassan Khalil,Hassan Affifi,Mahmoud Reda,Farida Fahmy,Lubna Eman,Nour & Tito.
In 2001 she returned to Greece with prospects of a career in Bellydance.Soon afterwards,she started in the best oriental club of Thessaloniki,called "Orient",where she has been working for the last six years.At the same time,Lia danced on weddings in restaurants and nightclubs and became a rising star in Greece's Bellydance world.
From 2001 until 2005 Lia was called to perform her shows in the most remarkable theaters,television programms, themeparks,hotels,festivals and cultural centres in Greece.

In 2005 Lia was awarded for "Best Oriental Performance"and in 2007 she performed in the video clip of Pashalis Arvanitidis.From 2005 onwads she started her activity at the international level.She has been called by different perform her shows in front of hundreds of people,among others:
in March 2008:at "Ya Salam" Festival in Brussel
in Sept. 2009:at the "International Young Bellystars" in Berlin
in Nov. 2009:as a guest star in the Orientalshow of Ali Sherif in Cologne,Germany

In April 2009 the group from Lia Verra won the first price in the Oriental Competition in Greece.
After nine years of live and televised performances in Greece,she is khown as one of the most talented and accomplished Orientaldancers in Europe.In spite of her great career Lia is travelling frequently,to Cairo to take lessons in Oientaldancing.
Moreover,it is remarkable that she is a member of UNESCO.
Lia's style is Classic Egyptian,well-know as Raqs Sharqi.Herperfomance is elegant,natural and expressive,and is characterized by her sensusal presence and her intense personality-inspiring her audience to study the Orientaldance.

Currenthy,Lia is teaching at dancing schools in the north of Greece,Choreographing groups
and solo dancers,delivering workshops all over the world, and takes part in dancing competitions as a critic.
